HomeBizPaperwork makes spreadsheet templates and small web apps, including web apps such as the cleaning business app. This page explains what those products do with your information. Questions: [email protected].

The short version

• Your business data (clients, schedule, prices, income, quotes) is saved in your own browser on your own device.
• If you turn on Google Drive sync, a copy is saved in your own Google Drive. Nobody else, including us, can read it.
• We do not have a server or database that stores your app data. We do not sell, rent or share your data.

What the apps store on your device

The apps save your data in your browser's local storage on your device so they work offline. This data never leaves your device unless you download a backup yourself or turn on Google Drive sync.

Unlocking a paid app

When you unlock a paid app, the app sends your Etsy order number and a random device code to our licence check, which asks Etsy whether that order is a paid purchase of the app. We keep the order number and the device codes only to limit how many devices one order can unlock. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from the app.

Google Drive sync (HomeBizPaperwork web apps)

Sync is optional and off until you click Connect Google Drive. When you connect:

• What we ask Google for: only the permission drive.appdata ("see, create, and delete its own configuration data in your Google Drive"). The app cannot see, open or change any of your other Google Drive files, your email, contacts or anything else.
• What the app does with it: it keeps one small file per app (named after the app) in the hidden app folder of your Google Drive, writes your app data to it when you make changes, and reads it on your other devices so your phone and computer show the same data. It also reads your Google account email address only to show you which account is connected.
• Where the data goes: directly between your browser and Google. It does not pass through any HomeBizPaperwork server, and we cannot access your Google Drive or the file.
• Sign-in tokens: Google gives the app a short-lived access token (about one hour), kept only in your browser. No password is ever seen or stored by the app.
• Older copies: if two devices change the same data, the newest copy is kept and the older copy is saved as a backup on your device so nothing is lost.
• Turning it off: click Disconnect in the app's Settings. Your data stays on your device. To delete the file from Google Drive, open Google Drive, go to Settings, Manage apps, find HomeBizPaperwork and choose Delete hidden app data. You can remove the app's access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

HomeBizPaperwork's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to anyone, and no person reads it.

This website

homebizpaperwork.com uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. These tools may set cookies and collect basic information such as your browser type, country and the pages you view. They are not connected to the apps or to your app data.

Purchases

Products are sold on Etsy. Etsy handles your payment and order details under Etsy's privacy policy.

Children

Our products are made for adults running a home or a business and are not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
